《中国民族民间舞蹈等级考试教材》由中国著名舞蹈教育家潘志涛教授主编，以“素质教育和愉悦教育科学统一”为出发点，以“推动中国民族民间舞蹈的普及、发展和满足青少年对舞蹈学习与全面发展的需求”为宗旨，使学生在快乐的舞蹈学习中训练形体、培养气质、建立自信并提高综合素质能力。通过对各地区、各民族的舞蹈、音乐及民俗文化的了解，感受并传承博大精深、丰富多彩的中华民族优秀文化。

2017年12月15日，文化部颁布了新修订的《社会艺术水平考级管理办法》（文化部令第31号发布，文化部令第57号修改），推动艺术考级逐步实现行业规范和自治。中国民族民间舞蹈等级考试中心携手北京中国民族民间舞蹈家协会对原有教材进行发展及完善，强化教材内容、扩容专家团队、提升规范标准，使教材体系更加全面化和多元化。

2019年2月2日经文化和旅游部审核、北京市文化和旅游局批准，同意北京中国民族民间舞蹈家协会开展中国民族民间舞考级，专业代码020102。

Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance Examination Syllabus is edited by Prof. Pan Zhitao, a leading dance educator in China. This syllabus aims to combine quality dance education with recreational enjoyment, and promote teaching and learning of dance by popularizing Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance with meeting the requirement of holistic development of adolescents. Through the comprehensive learning of dance, music and culture in diverse regions and ethnic groups, students are able to enjoy and inherit the profound and colorful Chinese culture.

Ministry of Culture renewed “Code of Community Arts Examination (published under Order No. 31 and revised under Order No. 57)” on 15th of December, 2017 to further progress the development of arts industry. Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance Examination Centre reviewed the existing syllabus with the assistance of Beijing Chinese Ethnic Folk Dancers Association to enhance teaching material, enlarge committee members, upgrade standard and achieve the vision of comprehensive and multi-functional goal. 

Beijing Chinese Ethnic Folk Dancers Association is approved to organize Chinese Ethnic and Folk Dance Examination (Code No. 020102) under the verification of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the approval of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism on 2nd February, 2019.
